Project Homeless Connect, December 2016
Laura Harvell, Maxwell Boltinghouse, and Mattson Smith
Denver Outreach Court has begun, and The Law Office of Jennifer E. Longtin is proud to be a part of it. Laura Harvell and Maxwell Boltinghouse appeared on Wednesday, December 7th, with clients at the Denver Rescue Mission to resolve outstanding fees and costs, close pending Denver General Sessions cases, assist clients with navigating pending cases in Denver County Court and other jurisdictions, and connect those in need with benefits, community programs, and mental health services in the Denver Metro area.
This was a great event that we were glad to be a part of and support. Homeless Court was a success, and it was a pleasure to work with volunteer attorneys and paralegals, as well as so many in need from our community.
Outreach Court will be held at the Denver Rescue Mission twice a month (every other Wednesday) from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Anyone interested in adding on to the Court’s docket is encouraged to check in between 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. The next setting will be January 18, 2017, and attorneys from our firm will be in attendance at every Outreach Court docket.
If you have questions about Outreach Court, please contact our office at 303-747-6898.
First Annual New Genesis Halloween Party
October 22, 2016
On October 22, The Law Office of Jennifer E. Longtin held it's first annual Halloween party. This Halloween party helped to raise money for New Genesis, a unique non-profit combating homelessness in Denver.
Founded in Denver in 1986, New Genesis is the only Denver area homeless program for working people. Designed out of a need to more successfully improve the lives of the homeless, New Genesis provides a stable environment, helping people get off the streets and back into society. New Genesis emphasizes a proactive resident care management program and outlines specific behavioral objectives for residents, including the ability to live a more productive and independent life, maintain a job and help improve the lives of other residents.
New Genesis works to provide more than just emergency services to the homeless; each year, we assist over 1,100 people off the streets and back into a fully productive lifestyle.
We hope to see you there next year!
