Well, that escalated quickly...

When I started this adventure, I had no idea where it would take me.  My favorite quote from Lord of the Rings is "Home is behind, the World ahead." Adventure is always around the corner; when you aren't sure where the next steps will take you, sometimes they lead you down a magical path you could have never imagined on your own.

This path has showed me just how much in need our world is of some positive transformation - and it has showed me so many ways that I can work to make that transformation happen. This world needs loving, compassionate CARe!  It needs mental health and stigma reduction.  It needs justice in the "criminal justice" system.  This is what I built- a place where driven people can effect change on a daily basis, and we continue to build on our vision every day.

I know, at my core, that my strongest asset is, and has always been, the beautiful, wonderful, talented individuals who built this firm with me. Because of all of you, we have cared more than we though possible, won more than criminal defense attorneys generally do, and had a lot of fun along the way.  We have certainly surpassed what I thought this firm could become.

When my dear husband finally convinced me to "jump" from the PDs and have the courage to open my own shop, I had no idea what I wanted to build. Now, I want to change the way criminal defense and mental health are addressed across the country.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Here's to the next 5 years of AWESOME, CARe-ing, Compassionate Criminal Defense.
