Since I started working at JLongtin Law, I have been impressed by the firm’s commitment to being paper-less and interest in being a tech savvy small business. We’ve always had the ability to work remotely, which has made the transition to full-time, work-from-home a smooth one. So smooth in fact, that I’m able to do it in Wisconsin while I visit with my family!

With multiple mediums of communication, the JLongtin Law team hasn’t skipped a beat and we are continuing to advocate and work for our clients during these uncertain times, especially those that are incarcerated and face an increased risk of exposure and serious illness. I certainly miss interacting with everyone, as it is by far my favorite part of the job, but with multiple video meetings a week, we are making a conscious effort to stay connected – and it’s working.

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly shaken up our world, but in many ways it has grounded me in what I am most thankful for: this job and my ability to continue working, supportive coworkers, my health, my family, and of course, my elderly Labrador, Sammy, who has been my constant work snuggle buddy this whole week.

I am looking forward to the day we can all return to the office, Keith’s coffee’s in hand, with a newfound sense of gratitude for what had previously been routine. Until then, I will be thinking of the JLongtin Law community and hoping that everyone is staying safe, healthy, and 6-feet apart.
